Foreword
When I started my career in organizational and learning
development more than three decades ago, training was
still measured in hours delivered, not by the impact
achieved. I've seen organizations spend millions on
classroom sessions, leadership retreats, and digital
platforms, yet fail to answer the most critical question
from executives: What did this investment actually change?
The truth is sobering. Traditional training often creates
an illusion of progress—what I call “Training Theater."
